Heads turned at Ladies Day at Ascot when leading model Rachel Littlejohn arrived sporting a spectacular watercress hat.

She was soon surrounded by a posse of Press men, with the photograph being splashed across the next day’s Times, Daily Mirror, Daily Mail and Star.  She was also featured on the BBC, Radio 1 and countless websites.   

The following week, we managed to get one of our “Anyone for Watercress” umbrellas featured across a full page in an Evening Standard story about Wimbledon.

As well as raising a few smiles, this imaginative approach for our client, The Watercress Alliance, ensured that their product continued to maintain its high profile in the Press, extending coverage from the food and health pages into the mainstream news, reinforcing its position as “this season’s trendy salad leaf.”
